- Register as a member of b-published.com, its free and gives you access to the
best bits.
- Make a new folder on your desktop and call it “b-published uploads”
- Then create the files that you will eventually upload.
- You will need to create several files for uploading:
a) the Synopsis or "cover notes" - 100-200 words summarising your work
b) a Sample of (say) the first three chapters as a PDF file
c) the whole Manuscript as a PDF file
d) you can include if you wish at the back of the sample chapters, a list of
characters.
e) a Cover Image - like the front cover of a book
- The sample and full manuscript files that you will be uploading will need to be converted to PDF
format, to create a PDF file is very easy; we use www.cutepdf.com free software
and have found it to be excellent. There are many other equally useful tools to
help you do this, use, which ever suits you. If you are using cutepdf, open the
document that you want to change to a PDF file and choose "File->Print". Change the printer from your default printer to
CutePDF and click ok. You will then be prompted to choose where like to save this new PDF
file. In the Save in box you will
be able to select the desktop and from there you will be able to select you
newly created desktop folder called “b-published uploads”. Then Save.
- If you have a cover image of the book that is best uploaded as a jpeg,
(.jpg) if you haven’t then you can put a picture up of yourself, if you leave
the image section blank we have a default picture in the left hand side tool bar and follow the
instructions to upload you manuscript, you are minutes away from completing you
first upload.
- You can repeat this process as many times as you wish for free.
